Description

Hippolyte J Blanc, 1903; modern shopfront. 6-storey, 2-bay Jacobean shop with narrow gabled frontage. Polished cream sandstone ashlar (stonecleaned). Pair of 3-light canted windows to 1st and 2nd floors with ashlar mullions and transoms; strapwork balustrading at 1st floor. At 3rd floor, pair of 4 light windows with full width Roman Doric columned gallery; strapwork balustrade and parapet. 4 bipartite windows at 4th floor; bracketed cornice. Gable with pair of pilastered and corniced windows. Framed by narrow pilasters and corbelled octagonal towers with tiny domed finials.

Multi-pane metal casement windows. Ashlar coped skews; corniced stack; grey slates.

INTERIOR: modern shop at ground and 1st floors, linked with shop to E.
