Description

Earlier 19th century. 4-storey with attic, 4-bay rectangular-plan tenement block. Polished sandstone ashlar to ground floor; droved sandstone ashlar with polished dressings to upper floors. Dividing band course between ground and 1st floors; projecting cornice between 2nd and 3rd floors; moulded cornice below roofline; shouldered and corniced blocking course breaking wallhead at centre; blind windows to upper floors in second bay from left.

N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central common stair entrance to ground; recessed panelled timber door; fanlight. Late Victorian shopfront with fluted pilasters to left; consoled, dentilled cornice. 2 single windows to right of centre at ground of differing sizes; regular fenestration to upper floors; blind windows to penultimate bay to left; 2 dormer windows break roof to outer left and right.

12-pane timber sash and case windows to upper floors. Grey slate piended roof. Coped stack with corniced cans at E.
