Description

Earlier 19th century. 2 storey and basement, 4 bay, rectangular-plan classical house. Cream sandstone ashlar, rusticated at ground; coursed rubble to sides and rear. Dividing band course; cill course and architraves to 1st floor windows; cornice and blocking course raised at centre.

E (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: doorway in bay to right of centre; 2 leaf panelled outer door; plate glass fanlight; Doric columns and pilasters to corniced porch; single window to 1st floor above. Single windows to both floors in bays to outer left and right.

Plate glass, timber sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof; corniced wallhead stacks; moulded cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1996.

BOUNDARY WALLS AND PEDESTRIAN GATE: high rubble boundary walls to N and S; replacement railings to areas. Pedestrian gate adjoining to N; night safe in wall adjoining to S.
