1831 Thomas Brown, pair of single Storey overbasements,
3-bay buildings erected for the police. Droved ashlar. No
3 has blind elliptical arched recesses in each bay now
with altered openings, No 5, central door with "No 5" on
panel above; blind elliptical arched recesses in outer
bays with altered openings at east, upper 6-pane sash at
west, two 12-pane sashes with blind central window on west
elevation. Both buildings have cornice and blocking
course, continuing on all 4 elevations for No 3. Rear
elevation: 2 storeys: No 3 has 1 window, 1 blocked window,
No 5, variety of rear fenestration including 2 cell
windows. Piended slate roof.
