Early 19th century. 2-storey 3-bay symmetrical house. Coursed rubble with painted ashlar dressings. Regularly fenestrated, tripartite windows to ground floor. Timber panelled glazed door with plate glass fanlight in Doric pilastered surround.
Plate glass in timber sash and case windows. Grey slates. Stone skews. Corniced stacks with circular cans.
BOUNDARY WALL: low stone coped boundary wall.
Gilmore Place was built from the W towards the E. Nos 44-48, while being earlier than those to the W, are of lesser architectural interest, being constructed of poorer quality materials and having been substantially altered.
