Description

1829. 2 storey, 3 bay, symmetrical classical house. Droved cream sandstone with ashlar dressings; rubble to sides and rear. Base course; architraves to ground and 1st floor windows; cill course to 1st floor windows; cornice and blocking course.

E (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central doorway; modern door; plate glass fanlight; engaged columns to corniced doorpiece; single window to 1st floor above. Single windows to both floors in bays to outer left and right.

Plate glass, timber sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof; coped and rendered wall head stacks.

INTERIOR: not seen 1996.

BOUNDARY WALLS, GATEPIERS, CARRIAGE AND PEDESTRIAN GATES: low coursed rubble wall to street; high rubble wall surrounding garden to S; gatepiers with pyramidal caps. Pedestrian gateway between houses to N leading to No 82a; rendered carriage gate, now garage, adjoining house to S.
