Original house John Simpson 1806, additions and alterations
c.1835, further alterations and additions later (G S Aitken).
2-storey 4-window coursed rubble with quoins and margins,
centre wallhead chimney and piended roof. Pilastered bay
windows and trellis porch added probably c.1835. Single-
storey addition to west with doric portico, 2-storey 3-window
addition on east, balustraded parapet. Basement at back.
