Early 19th century with later additions and alterations. Single storey, 5-bay classical house. Droved ashlar, polished ashlar dressings, rubble side elevations and rear, wood board single storey extension to rear. Base course, cornice and blocking course.
W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: bay to centre slightly advanced; 2 steps with original cast-iron handrails to deep-set panelled door at centre; plate glass rectangular fanlight above; pilastered doorpiece. Windows to each of flanking bays with moulded architraves.
E (REAR) ELEVATION: later extension left of centre, windows to E.
Plate glass timber sash and case windows to W elevation; 12-paned timber sash and case windows; timber windows to extension with upper sections divided with rounded heads. Piended slate roof; square rendered wallhead stack to N, rubble with render wallhead stack to S.
INTERIOR: not seen, 1994.
BOUNDARY WALLS: square render with coping at front; tall harl-pointed rubble wall to rear.
The extension is first shown upon the 2nd edition OS map. The house is named Roseville.
