Mid 18th century with later rebuilding. 3-storey 2-bay shop with flat above. Plain 3-bay rendered shopfront at ground with door flanked by large windows. Upper floors with render removed from patched rubble; windows to each bay, grouped to centre; painted ashlar margins and eaves course. Velux rooflight. Projecting gable to rear with steps to panelled door and window at ground; single window at 1st floor; return to right with windows to both floors.
Fixed 12-pane timber windows to front; 4-pane timber sash and case to rear. Grey slates; ashlar coped mutual skew; brick stack.
INTERIOR: panelled shutters and doors and simple moulded cornices. Plaster recently removed from interior exposed some timber framed walls with handmade brick infill.
This type of interior construction is actually fairly common for buildings of this date, although rarely exposed.
