Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey, 2-bay, asymmetrical, gabled house. Squared and snecked yellow sandstone with ashlar margins. Projecting cills to windows.

S(PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: modern timber door to ground floor left, letterbox fanlight, window to right. Regular fenestration to upper storey.

N (REAR) ELEVATION: not seen 2001.

E (SIDE) ELEVATION: obscured by abutting building.

W (SIDE) ELEVATION: obscured by abutting building to gablehead. Barge boarding to gable end eaves.

4-pane, timber-framed, sash and case windows. Grey slates, lead flashing. Cast-iron rainwater goods. Shared coped stack to E.

INTERIOR: not seen 2001.

Statement of Interest

Render to front elevation removed since original listing. A traditional, remarkably unaltered example of Scottish burgh architecture.
