Description

Circa 1840. 2-storey over basement late Classical corner
block. Droved red ashlar with polished dressings and
architraves. Entrances and curved corner all in shallow
recessed bays with round-arched 1st floor windows; aproned
ground floor bipartites; paired doorpiece to Galloway
Street, single central door to 3-bay Terregles Street
elevation; panelled doors (all approached by steps) with
fanlights, consoled cornices. Sash windows, plate glass at
ground and with 8-pane glazing pattern at 1st floor.
Band course between floors; main cornice, stone-bracketted
over recessed bays; blocking course; single modern dormer;
corniced end stacks; slate roof. Low boundary wall with
cast-iron railings.
