Early 20th century. 2 storey and attic pair of houses, each 3-bay and L-plan in mirror image. Rubble, white painted harl, red tile roof. Bull-faced sandstone base course, ashlar cills and mullions; sash and case windows, mostly multi-pane at top; deep eaves, plain bargeboards, exposed rafter ends; tall battered stacks with terracotta cans.
NUMBER 92, W ELEVATION: gable at left, 2-leaf round-headed dor at left with bracketted timber hood bipartite window at 1st floor; tripartite canted window at right with shallow facetted roof, tripartite at 1st floor;recessed bay at right with bipartite window, swept roof forming verandah, shallow tripartite dormer.
N ELEVATION: 3 windows at ground floor, stair window above.
E ELEVATION: additions at ground floor, 2 windows at 1st, window at attic gable.
These houses were used by William Boyd of Claremont, 16 Gove Road, for his head gardener and chauffeur.
