Circa 1868. Single storey, irregular-plan lodge with later sympathetic addition. Snecked rubble masonry, harled at W, slate roof. Plate-glass sash and case windows, chamfered jambs; crowstepped gables with mouldedstacks.
S ELEVATION: door with moulded doorcase at crowstep gabled porch at right re-entrant, heraldic shield at gable, window at right return; blank gable advanced at left; later bay slightly recessed at far left with window and half-piended roof.
E ELEVATION: gable advanced at right with window, heraldic shield to gablehead; bay recesssed at left with window.
N ELEVATION: gable with stack at left, window at right, door at lean-to porch at far right.
INTERIOR: not seen.
The lodge is presumed to date from the creation of Reres Hill into a public park in 1868. The OS map shows the building as a Police Station. The lodge is listed for its group value with the Jubilee Arch in Reres Park, and Armistead and Seabourne Lodges on the south side of Monifieth Road.
