Description

Circa 1866. 2-storey and basement villa with later
19th century wing, coursed rubble, painted ashlar
dressings. S elevation: Corinthian columned doorpiece
with single-storey advanced section to right having
shouldered arched windows and cast-iron mullions.
Dentil cornice and cast-iron brattishing. Lean-to
conservatory to left. 1st floor: 2 windows beneath
barge-boarded gable and tall stack. Oculus to left
flank of side gable.
Elevation to Osbourne Place: 2 advanced barge-boarded
gabled bays with ground floor canted windows, 1st
floor 2 and 3-light rounded-headed windows. Band
and cill courses.
Central bay with tripartite.
Slightly set back later N wing (1A) with door,
tripartite ground floor window with cast-iron mullions,
triple round-arched window below gablet. Oculus
in N gable. Slate roofs with overhanging eaves and
ridge stacks. Sash and case windows, mainly plate glass.
