Between 1857 and 1871, 3-storey and attic, 8-by 3 bay
warehouse. Coursed rubble, with ashlar quoins. N elevation:
lower storey sunk in slope of ground. 2 E bays advanced,
large multi-paned metal-framed windows. Large window at E
was formerly horizontally hinged as a door. Stairdoor at W
beside modern loading door. Cornice and parapet.
S elevation: full-height lower floor loading door at E,
central gabletted wall-head hoist.
E elevation: 2 windows at each floor flanking doors to spiral
cast-iron fire escape (shown on 1891 plan). Attic gable
had door and 3 oculi skewputts and flat-topped finial. W
elevation brick, apparently unfinished. Slate roof with
2 original ventilators.
Interior iron framed and brick arched, ceiling unplastered
at 2nd floor. Wrought-iron tie attic, with some later steel
ties.
Part of Logie Works probably used to store, finish and
exhibit fine damasks etc. The roof is of the same
type as at Tay Works, Bowbridge Works Mill and the Logie
Works Factory.
Modern brick buildings to W are excluded from list.
