Description

Probably John MacLeod, architect. Built circa 1870-80.
2-storey 3-bay villa. Stugged and snecked ashlar with
polished dressings. Central recessed door behind original
glazed timber porch with bracketted eaves and cast-iron
brattishing. Window in left bay canted to full height with
finial; ground floor bipartite in projecting bay to right
with cast-iron brattishing. Plate glass sashes. Corniced end
stacks; bracketted and deeply projecting eaves; piended and
platform roof with cast-iron brattishing. Low piended block
recessed at east. Modern concrete stair to rear leads to 1st
floor entrance original round-headed stair window now a door.
2 square, polished ashlar gatepiers to north west.
Unusual rustic garden shed to south east of house.
