Description

Dated 1802 (?07). 2-storey and attic, 3-bay house with centre
door and single storey, 2-bay wings at each gable. Rubble,
ashlar dressings. 2 small piended dormers in main house; 3
small windows to right (east) wing; 4-pane glazing. Left
(west) wing has 2 large piended dormers rising from wallhead
and 2 3-light windows at ground floor, all with multi-pane
glazing. End stacks; slate roofs.
Interior; east wing has large, segmental headed fireplace
abutting west gable.

Statement of Interest

Corner site with Schoolhill. Datestone faint; possibly 1807.

Remains of large gable chimney at east gable together with

tusker stone and signs of alterations and previous 2-storey

gable end building Blocked entrances to rear. Large segmental

headed fireplace appears of earlier date than house and was

possibly incorporated from former dwelling on site.
