18th century. Single storey, 2-bay, almost square-plan cottage. Stugged sandstone, ashlar window and door surrounds.
E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: central door; window to right (former door). Tall rubble wall of adjacent Weaver's Cottage extends from right.
S ELEVATION: 2 windows.
W ELEVATION: 2 windows.
N ELEVATION: attached to Weaver's Cottage.
Replacement 4-pane timber windows; top hung upper panes, fixed lower panes. Replacement glazed door. Shallow pyramidal roof; clay pantiles. Wallhead stack to W; polygonal can. Cast-iron hopper to NE.
INTERIOR: modernised interior.
GARDEN WALLS
Small enclosed garden to S of Honeysuckle Cottage and road; rubble and stugged sandstone. Wall lower to N; central opening in N wall.
Formerly listed as The Cottage (A Ferguson) West Green. According to the present owner (2001), a family of 8 once lived in this cottage. Unusually, this small cottage has not been extended and retains its pyramidal roof. For brief history of Culross Burgh see Culross, The Cross, The Study.
