1773, originally a quadrangle now a U-plan, composed of 3 2 storey ranges, and detached boat store.
East range: 25 bays with central forestair and door below. Second door in right range, 1 upper window converted to loft opening. 2 windows in each floor in gable ends (3 at north gable blocked).
South Range: central 3 bay managers house, slightly advanced to front and rear. Lower 5-bay weaving wings to each side; stone boundary wall.
North range: 8 bays with central forestair. 2 enlarged modern windows in West gable. Two stacks: that at gable missing.
Built for George Ross of Cromarty and several other country gentlemen. A.k.a. old Rope Works and Boat Store. The largest surviving hand-operated factory in Scotland.
Had a datestone with letter panels and figures 76.
