Description

Early 19th century. Terrace of 2-storey 3-bay houses with
attics and basements. Band course over ground floor. 1st
floor 12-pane sashes (except No. 67, 2-pane) with recessed
aprons. Slate roofs with straight skews and brick stacks.
Nos. 63-9 with cast iron railings to steps, simplified to
basement area. Variations separately below.
61 HIGH STREET. Symmetrical ground floor shopfront with
cornice supported by pink polished granite. Roman doric
columns on pedestals. Panelled door to upper floors at right.
Good interior fittings, including counter, drawers and shelving.
Area covered over. Attached at rear is 1-storey building of
rubble with loft door in gable. Pantiled roof.
63 HIGH STREET. Ground floor shopfront with 2 large 2-pane
windows and doors at right.
65 HIGH STREET. Ground floor shop with double-leaf panelled
door to shop between 2 2-pane sash windows and panelled door
with fanlight to upper floors at right. Unfortunate modern
box dormer.
67 HIGH STREET. Ground floor house front. 2 altered 12-pane
sashes with aproned panels. Gabletted dormer.

Good gold lettering on black glass fascia.
