Description

Built 1884 as the Commercial Bank of Scotland. 3-storey
central gable with datestone 1884.
asymmetrical 4-bay bank with 2-storey bay to E flank.
Flat skew stones, skewputts, steeply pitched slate roof.
Rock-faced granite with broached quoins. Margins of chamfered
Corniced end stacks with tall square cans. Flanks and rear of
granite monoliths.

Ground floor with 2 depressed arch doors and 1 window
(formerly door) otherwise all windows square-headed, one
round-arched over central door. Single light or tripartite
sash and case with plate-glass 2-pane glazing pattern, some
with lower sashes 2-pane to 1st. Roofline with 3 asymmetrical
gables, that to E with figure of St Andrew in mandorla,
