Earlier 19th century. 2-storey 3-bay symmetrical house. Roughcast walls with some ashlar dressings. Eaves course, projecting cills at windows. Stair to central entrance door comprising concrete and stone steps with coped roughcast balustrade. Wide margin around entrance door with keystone at centre. Flanking 3-light canted ashlar bay windows, roughcast bases with radial iron vents, projecting cills, corniced eaves and metal-clad piended roofs. Single bay, single storey modern addition at left, lean-to timber garage at right.
Plate glass timber sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof with cast-iron gutters and downpipes. Roughcast, coped wallhead stacks centring side elevations.
RETAINING WALLS: random rubble, retaining wall at rear of house, bordering driveway and Low Askomil, coped and stugged ashlar gatepiers with pyramidal caps.
In combination with Rockbank and Fairview, this house creates a striking group that is particularly apparent from the other side of the bay.
