Description

Early Victorian. Unusual 3 house scheme producing large

mansion-like mass. 2-storey symmetrical, coursed rubble,

centre house slightly advanced, Roman Doric columned porch

with arched doorpiece and 1st floor arched and keyblocked window

between canted bays, outer set-back bays have single triparties

and splayed angles, 5-window flanks with arched and pilastereed doorpieces in 2nd bay. Piended, slated, platformed roof.

Original glazing.

Statement of Interest

Became Stanley House School in 1870 and later became Stanley

Hospital. Now divided into flats.
