Description

Circa 1800 with mid 19th century addition to rear. 2-storey, 3-bay gabled house with cellar and attic, and with later 2-storey, 3-bay piend-roofed addition to rear.

ORIGINAL HOUSE: random rubble with painted margins. Bays grouped towards centre. Entrance in W gable return. Cellar lights and small attic window on E return gable with further windows at ground and 1st floor. Timber sash and case windows with 12-pane glazing remaining, some plate glass replacements. Grey slates. Ashlar gablehead stacks and coped skews and moulded skewputts.

MID CENTURY ADDITION: abacking original house. Coursed, stugged rubble with chamfered ashlar dressings. Bipartite ground floor windows to rear flanking panelled door approached by steps, with plain fanlight and consoled pediment open at base. Piended slate roof with corniced wallhead stacks.
