Description

Walter MacFarlane & Co, founders, Glasgow. Erected 1908. Octagonal cast-iron bandstand raised on ashlar base; elaborately detailed columns, parapets and spandrels; cornice with acroteria; bold bell-cast roof covered with zinc and lead, tall finial.

Statement of Interest

Erected as a memorial to Provost Vallentine.
