Description

Early 19th century, restored 1981 by William A Cadell Architects. 3-storey, 3-bay small tenement with shop at ground, in irregular terrace. Polished ashlar to ground, stugged and squared rubble with raised ashlar margins to 1st and 2nd floors, quoin strips; harled to rear. Deep base, band and eaves courses.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical. 2-leaf panelled timber door with 3-part fanlight to centre bay at ground, windows in flanking bays and regular fenestration to each floor above.

N (NORTH STREET) ELEVATION: centre bay with full-height conical-roofed circular stair tower with 2 windows and door on return to left, window to left at each floor and opening to ground with windows above at right.

9- and 12-pane glazing patterns in timber sash and case windows. Modern pantiles with slate eaves easing course to N. Coped ashlar stacks with polished quoins, full-complement of cans and ashlar-coped skews.
