Robert Paton, circa 1861. Single storey and basement (attics to rear to Nos 19, 25, 33), terrace of 3-bay houses. Painted coursed sandstone. Mutuled cornice to Nos 19-25, 31 and 33, plain cornices to Nos 27 and 29. Painted margins to window openings; cill blocks at ground floor; moulded arises to doorpieces.
E (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central stepped platt to entrances; timber doors, glazed to No 25; letterbox fanlights (3-light to Nos 19, 27, 29, 31; boarded to No 33); flanking single windows at ground floor and basement.
S (CHARLOTTE STREET) ELEVATION: 2 blind windows at ground floor to gable.
Variety of glazing patterns; 8-pane timber sash and case windows to Nos 19, 27-33; plate glass to Nos 21; modern glazing to Nos 23, 25. Grey slate roof; stone skews; rooflights; gablehead and ridge stacks; circular and polygonal cans (no cans to gablehead stack of No 33).
INTERIORS: not seen 1998.
BOUNDARY WALLS AND RAILINGS: ashlar copes with decorative railings surmounting, to basement area and stepped platts.
Standing to the N of Charlotte Street, which divides Nos 1-17 and 19-33 Queen's Terrace, this later stretch of terrace, is modelled on the 1844 stretch of Nos 1-17 Queen's Terrace, with larger basement windows, mutuled cornices to Nos 19-25, 31 and 33. Large modern extension to rear of No 33.
