Later 18th century, altered mid 19th century. 3-storey, 3-bay tenement with shop at ground floor. Painted render. Corniced mid 19th century shopfront at ground floor; 2nd floor windows break eaves to form gabled timber boarded dormers. Painted margins to windows at 1st and 2nd floors.
SE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central timber glazed entrance door with letterbox fanlight to shopfront at ground floor; flanking shop windows. Regular fenestration at 1st and 2nd floors.
Leaded casement windows at 1st floor; 12-pane timber sash and case windows at attic. Grey slate roof; coped brick stacks; circular cans.
INTERIOR: not seen 1998.

Shop at ground also forms part of Nos 6-10 (see separate list description). The street was developed along the lines of a lane in the 19th century, to give access to a new Butter Market on its N side.
