Early 19th century. 2-storey, 2-bay paired, symmetrically-fronted classical villa. Painted entrance elevation; rubble side elevations. Base course; 1st floor cill course; eaves course; cornice; blocking course; strip quoins.
NE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: double pilastered and corniced central doorpiece; timber doors; letterbox fanlights; 2 single windows aligned above at 1st floor. Flanking single windows at both floors to outer bays.
SE (SIDE) ELEVATION: centrally aligned, single windows at ground and 1st floor.
Modern windows. Slate roof; stone skews; coped gablehead stacks.
INTERIORS: not seen 1999.
GATEPIERS AND BOUNDARY WALL: central square-plan gatepiers to mutual entrance gate; coped boundary wall enclosing site.
Good example of early 19th century architecture in the largely modernised John Street to the NE of the River Ayr. Of particular note is the paired, pilastered and corniced painted doorpiece.
