Statement of Interest

In contrast to the earlier discreet classical work of the remainder of Alloway Place, Dereel is a chunkily detailed later 19th century Italianate villa, with its timber bracketed eaves, keystones and arched openings displaying knowledge of later 19th century architectural practice and fashions. Built for John Gordon McMillan.
