Description

After style of Walter Newall, but probably 1860/70.
Symmetrical 2-storey, 3-bay villa with low rear (E) wing.
Droved red ashlar, polished dressings and architraves. W
elevation: central porch on 2 slightly battered square
monolithic columns, panelled door with sidelights; canted
ground floor windows in outer bays; windows with bracketted
cills. 3-bay flanks. Axial stacks with grouped diamond flues.
Piended slate roof. Rear wing, single storey, single bay with
garage (former coach house) at E.
Square gatepiers with projecting caps with cavetto mouldings;
cast-iron railings.
