Dated 1897. Presented by W Achinachie, Provost of Aberchirder (see notes). Situated on S side of The Square, polished Peterhead and grey granite drinking fountain; 3 granite steps to cylindrical base with bowed basins to E and W, inscriptions to N and S. Carved urn above encircled by 6 columns on decorative corbels. Crowned by incised dome and large ball finial.
Carved with the Crown, date, and title, Victoria Fountain, to the S. Inscription to the N reads: "This fountain was erected by Wm Achinachie Esq JR Provost of Aberchirder from 1889 to 1907". It was presented to the burgh on Queen Victoria's Jubilee (Barclay).
