Description

Earlier 19th century. Single span segmental-arch bridge on main entrance drive to Robertland House (see separate listing). Rubble with low parapet and 4 corner pyramidal capstones. Bracketted string course. Later metal railings.

Statement of Interest

This is a good example of a single-span bridge with simple design which forms an integral part of the Robertland estate. The bridge lies on the entrance drive to the house, linking Robertland Lodge (see separate listing) to the House. Previous list description noted that the date 1835 was on round panel on parapet, but this was not seen at visit (2008).

List description updated as part of Stewarton Parish resurvey, 2009.
