Description

Eary 19th century. 2-storey and basement rectangular block,
harled with granite margins and dressings. 4 - window W.
front, centre 2 advanced, couple-column R-doric porch with
curved stairs flanked by niches, tripartite doorpiece within
with some gothick touches. Triglyphs over columns,
modillioned cornice, blocking course with centre panelled
features, finely detailed. 3-window down flanks. Main cornice
with blocking course, centre panels, piended roof with 2
centre chimneys and conical lantern light. Simple classic
interior with centre stairwell.

Statement of Interest

Built for Gordon of Cairnbulg who inherited the property from

the Earl of Aberdeen in 1801
