Description

Early to earlier 19th century. Single storey and raised basement,

3-bay cottage (bays grouped towards left). Rubble. Painted raised margins. Projecting starts to windows at ground floor.

N (MAIN STREET) ELEVATION: door in bay to left at ground floor; panelled door with fanlight; concrete steps oversailing basement. Regularly disposed fenestration at ground floor and basement, including under steps. Boarded door to outer right at basement. Harled elevation of No 28 Main Street continues onto this elevation.

E ELEVATION: adjoined to No 30 Main Street (see separate listing).

W ELEVATION: adjoined to lower building, No 28 Main Street.

Modern glazing. Red sandstone coped skew to NW. Broad rubble gablehead stack, with red sandstone band, to W. Graded grey slates. Octagonal cans.

Modern steel railings to N.
