Description

Earlier 18th century. 2-storey, 3-bay house adjoined to Town Hall.

S ELEVATION: sited to W of Town Hall. White painted harling with painted ashlar dressings. 3 widely spaced bays; door at centre with small-paned horizontal fanlight and panelled door. Windows in flanking bays and to each bay at 1st floor, under eaves. 2 windows to left in W gable wall. 12-pane sash and case glazing patern to sash and case windows; grey slates; ashlar end stack and coping to skews.

Statement of Interest

Slightly later house, Dolphin Cottage, also flanks Town Hall, to E (listed separately); together they comprise an imposing group effectively terminating the vista along the Fair Green to the Yester House lodges.
