Circa 1860-70. 2-storey, 3-bay picturesque gardener's cottage. Squared and snecked rubble with ashlar dressings. Mullioned windows at 1st floor, lying-pane glazing 4 over 6 panes at ground, single over 2 vertically-placed panes at 1st floor. Overhanging, timber-bracketted eaves, cast-iron finials to gables, weather-vane to circular, conical-roofed stair tower at rear. Grey slates, corniced ashlar central ridge stack. FRONT ELEVATION: steeply-pitched, gabled porch at centre with shouldered-arched entrance, timber-boarded door with ornamental cast-iron hinges. 1st floor bipartite windows breaking eaves, with gabled dormerheads with studded bargeboards.
REAR: lean-to kitchen addition to left, stair tower in re-entrant angle. Low, ashlar coped garden wall, rubble walls enclosing garden.
Formerly the gardener's cottage. Particularly notable is the survival of all the gable finials and the weather-vane.
