Earlier 18th century. Rectangular-plan walled garden. Flat-coped rubble walls. stugged and margined ashlar dressings at doorways (2 at E and W walls, 1 at S).
N WALL: symmetrical lean-to buildings at N elevation, rubble masonry with slate roofs, bowed at left and right angles, modern porte-cochere loading bay at centre, various doors. S elevation is brick lined and flued, with rubble base incorporating a number of segmental arch-heads; ruinous glasshouse.
See NOTES to Balmuir House. The walled garden is presumed to be contemporary with the original part of Balmuir House. According to a document written by J H Sharp in circa 1930, the flued garden wall was built by James Webster (formerly Graham), probably later in the 18th century. Included in B Group with Balmuir House, dovecot, Garage Cottage, old stable, and coach house/stables.
