Late 18th century; widened at S, dated 1893. Single arch bridge; buttresses at N, coped parapets and forestair at S probably also added 1893. Rubble sandstone construction, keystoned depressed arch with stugged voussoirs. Armorial panel at crown of arch at S.
Edward mentions that most of the bridges in Angus were of stone rather than wood, although it is unlikely that Murroes bridge is earlier than the late 18th century.
