Early 19th century house, possibly remodelled in 1844, and in late 19th century, possibly by Duncan MacMillan. Former Free Church Manse; 2-storey, 3-bay with later, advanced wing at right angles to E. Harled, with some painted margins.
S ELEVATION: door in modern glazed porch in re-entrant angle; former doorway to centre (now altered as window). 3 windows to ground and 1st floor, window at ground and 1st floor to later piend-roofed wing with cast-iron finial. Small window to attic in W gable. Sash and case windows with 4-pane glazing pattern. Grey slates, ashlar coped skews and stacks, decorative cans.
INTERIOR: altered in late 19th century with repositioned door and stair.
OUTBUILDINGS: piend-roofed range forming courtyard at rear, including stable and carriage house.
Duncan MacMillan remodelled the UF church to the W, and designed the Hay Memorial Hall to the SW in 1893 (listed separately). This house seems to have served as the manse since the mid-19th century.
