1824. Gothick. Small. Oblong. Ashlar. Gabled. Saddle-back Skews. Buttresses. Marble insets (with inscriptions) at ends. Set within circular enclosure with rubble wall (spear-head railings).
Here lie the remains of Major General MacQuarrie of Jarvisfield. (c. 1760-1824), who was a successful Governor of New South Wales 1809-21. A native of Ulva, he acquired in later life Killiechronan (which he renamed Jarvisfield) and other estates in Mull which were collectively known as Glenforsas.
