Description

2-storey and attic mid-19th cent. rubble built: attic raised
and interior reconstructed c. 1950. Breast water-wheel. 24'
diameter 19' wide (still in daily use); 180 h.p; Thomson
Brothers, Dundee, 1871, makers. Worked in tandem with diesel,
originally with horizontal single expansion engine (still in
occasional use) Pearce (Dundee), 1865, makers, with double
helical gear added in 1892.
