Description

Shown as roofless shell on 1st ed. O.S. (1878); now re-
roofed. Single storey 3-bay Hebridean-type thatched
cottage, facing south, and built into bank at rear,
latter level with eaves. Door to right bay on south
elevation an unusual arrangement; single central window
high on short east wall. Rubble-built walls, angles
both curved and squared. Single off-centre apex
drainpipe flue; muran thatch roof, secured by netting,
with stone weights over inner wallhead. Shed formerly
adjoined at west. Path to front built up in rubble above
shore.
