Dated 1715. Roadbridge, 2 asymmetrical segmental arches over
New Abbey Pow; now doubled in width, but profile retained.
Rubble-built, white granite voussoirs and pointed cutwaters,
red ashlar cope to slightly ramped parapets, latter also
splayed at approaches.
Built for John Paterson re inscribed panel at west, over
southern arch.
Repaired after flood of 26.9.1815.
Possibly built originally as a single-arched bridge
(INVENTORY refers to it as having only one arch).
