Description

Late 19th century. Single storey, roughly cruciform-plan
lodge. Polished red ashlar. Canted 4-light window to south
and to east gables, lean-to porch in re-entrant angle
between. Projecting eaves and ornamental bargeboards; axial
stack; slate roof.
Corniced square piers with vermiculated quoins and curved
quadrant walls also red ashlar; decorative cast-iron gates.

Statement of Interest

Cargen House now ruinous.
