Present appearance that of a unified mid 19th century row of
estate houses, but 4 main building phases from last quarter
18th century until 20th century. 2-storey row arranged as one
3-bay and 2 2-bay houses, with early 20th century single
storey 2-bay post office adjoining N gable. Rubble-built,
with droved or stugged dressings and late 19th century slab
margins all ashlar; whitewashed, with painted margins; late
19th century timber door pediments (except at PO). 3-bay
house to S (nos 1 and 2) built first, 2-storey house nearest
N (with slab margins) remodelled late 19th century. Panelled
doors with fanlights; sash windows throughout with 12-pane
glazing arched (paired windows at ground); corniced end
stacks; slate roofs.
Full-height 20th century rear (W) additions, including
entrance to number one.
