Probably part of David Bryce's Castlemilk building programme,
circa 1867. Large quadrangular garden enclosed by high red
rubble-built and ashlar-coped walls with stugged dressings
and with entrance on each wall (wide vehicle slapping at W); exceptionally-long 28-bay lean-to at N with potting sheds
(?formerly some cottages). Garden walls swept up at N;
spear-head cast-iron railings and gates at S; raised base at
N of former glass houses; centrally-placed well. Lean-to
flanked by pedestrian gates to garden; boarded doors; windows
mostly with 9-pane glazing; straight skews; roofed with
graded slates.
Disused (1987).
