Natural sandstone cave adapted to dovecot with nesting boxes hollowed out of rock.

Statement of Interest

Scheduled Ancient Monument. Macduff Castle Dovecot now demolished. Name Wemyss is derived from 'weems' meaning caves, of which there are many in the cliffs in this area; all caves at Wemyss are Scheduled Ancient Monuments.
