Thomas Mackenzie (Mackenzie and Matthews) 1853. Italian villa
type L-plan front with porch in re-entrant angle, shallow
rectangular tripartite bay with 3 round arched windows above
in advanced gable; canted bay W. gable; back wing and low
2-storey E. wing. Harled with granite margins and dressings,
low-pitched broad-eaved roofs.
Of the 1748 Manse nothing remains. There was an excambion in
1853 by which the old glebe was taken into Strichen estate in
exchange for a new manse and a smaller glebe.
