Circa 1840/45. 2-storey harled with grey granite margins and
eaves belt course. S. front 3-window, centre bay advanced, E.
front 5-window (several dummies) centre bay advanced, two
wallhead chimneys. Broad-eaved piend roof, gablets over
centre bays. Largely reglazed, originally had horizontal
window divide. Interior:- simple with a little decorative
plaster work, fine marble chimneypiece c.1805 with excellent
sculptured panel in drawing-room and banisters (Mackenzie &
Matthews 1849) ex Brucklay Castle. Date panel A S W J S 1711
from previous house at rear.
